Research

To uncover the core challenges, I spoke with four musicians currently active in the industry. The interviews revealed that:

  1. The delivery is the biggest challenge when buying on the site because of a fear of the
    huge purchase that might be mishandled in someone else’s hands.
  2. Its frustrating when looking for something and one can not find it on the music site
  3. When a user saves something to their wish list and weeks or months later, it’s gone;

The most important question is :
How might we design a seamless, visually appealing shopping experience that helps users like Alex quickly resume browsing, understand key actions and options, and confidently make informed purchases?

Solution

To ensure that Tupelo Consignment Music Store’s website meets the challenge of keeping users engaged and confident, The answer is to create a trustworthy experience by improving the visual design, and remembering users’ last activity

Design

To foster trust and personalization, the home page was redesigned with a cleaner visual layout and a new login feature that enables users to create profiles and easily continue where they left off.

This project taught me the importance of using proper grids, spacing, and alignment when designing prototypes in Figma. It also pushed me to strengthen my design skills and attention to detail. Moving forward, I’ve learned to place greater emphasis on identifying user pain points through research and ensuring that my problem statements, solutions, and design decisions stay fully aligned throughout the process

Expected Result

Church members using the platform should have easier, on hand, access to sermon recordings. They can expect dependable updates on services, events, and church news so they can stay connected and continue supporting Pastor Huggins’ mission

Next Step

The next step involves designing pop-up alerts notifying users when a livestream is active, and integrating a user profile feature in the main toolbar. This will promote continuous, and personable engagement.
